Queensland Geoscience (GSQ)

Live

Geological Survey of Queensland — 190k+ geoscience datasets including 16k+ well completion reports.

What is Queensland Geoscience (GSQ)?

Geological Survey of Queensland (GSQ) — well completion reports, well proposals, hydraulic-fracturing activity reports, petroleum production/reserves reports, boreholes, seismic surveys, geochemistry, and magnetic/radiometric/gravity grids. No-auth CKAN 3 API. Toggle on and use — no setup needed. Upstream quirks captured at build time: facet/vocab values are full URIs (e.g. http://linked.data.gov.au/def/geo-commodities/petroleum) — the CKAN `fq` parameter accepts `:*petroleum` suffix shorthand so callers can pass short labels. Pagination caps at 1000 rows per call. Single publishing organization (Geological Survey of Queensland) and single group (geoscience). Dataset `type` enum captured live: report, borehole, map-collection, geochemistry, seismic, magnetic, radiometric, electromagnetic, gravity, dataset, gravity-gradiometry, spectral, magnetotelluric, electrical.

Available Tools

  • packageSearch

  • searchBoreholes
    Borehole records (type:borehole).
  • listOrganizations
    List publishing agencies (one: GSQ).
  • listGroups
