What is FMCSA Carrier Safety?

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration public safety data for vetting third-party trucking carriers — frac sand, produced-water, crude, chemical, and rig-move haulers. Two upstreams: the QCMobile API (carrier snapshot with crash totals and out-of-service rates vs national averages, SMS BASIC safety scores by category, operating authority and insurance on file, active out-of-service orders, MC/docket lookup, and fuzzy name search) and the DOT-wide Socrata datasets on data.transportation.gov (all-time crash records with date, state, county, fatalities, injuries, and hazmat placard; rolling ~3-year roadside inspection records with violation and out-of-service counts). Resolve a carrier by name to its DOT number, then pull its crash and inspection history. Complements Samsara and Geotab (operator-owned fleet telematics) — FMCSA is the regulator-side public record for carriers you don't own. Toggle on and use — no setup needed.

Available Tools
